NL-UK trade mission on 18-19 October

We are delighted to announce that registrations are now open for the NL-UK trade mission on 18-19 October, which will take place in London, UK. The Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Ms. Liesje Schreinemacher, and the Dutch Minister for Environment, Ms. Vivianne Heijnen, will lead the mission.

This trade mission will focus on Sustainable Mobility and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Net Zero. During the mission we aim to inspire, provide valuable insights into the UK market and to enable you to engage with potential clients, peers, government stakeholders and R&D partners in depth dialogues, networking events and match-making sessions.

Sustainable Mobility

The sustainable mobility track of the mission will focus on:

  • Electric vehicles and charging infrastructure;
  • Micro mobility, active travel and shared mobility;
  • First and last mile solutions for urban logistics;
  • Digital solutions, such as Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and traffic management.

AI for Net Zero

The AI track for the mission will focus on:

  • AI for more sustainable energy systems focusing on current challenges, such as grid congestion and the use of sustainable energy;
  • AI for greener industry focusing on the more efficient use of resources and making supply chains more sustainable;
  • Sustainability of AI itself.

Special welcome for startups, scale-ups

For the mission, we would specially welcome Dutch startups and scale-ups active in either of the focal areas. Please contact our Start-Up Liaison Officer, Lieke Conijn (mailto: Lieke.Conijn@minbuza.nl) to discuss your participation and any questions you might have.

Special welcome for female entrepreneurs

In addition, we would specially welcome female entrepreneurs to participate. Are you a female entrepreneur not active on the two focal themes, but still interested in doing business in the UK? And do you aim for expanding your knowledge and network for entering the UK market? Please do join the mission and contact the Embassy (mailto: LON-EA@minbuza.nl) to discuss how we could be of service for you during the mission. Based on your wishes and those of other participating female entrepreneurs, one or more market entry modules will be added to the programme. If you register in time, you will also be able to make use of the individual matchmaking facility offered, and join the networking activities during the trade mission.

The trade mission is organised in close collaboration between the Dutch Embassy in London, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, Connekt, the AI Coalition and several stakeholders in the UK.
